The Eastern Research DNX family (Digital Network Exchange) is Eastern Research's flagship product line. The DNX Series provides digital cross connect, traffic grooming, concentrations, test access and diagnostic functionality for fixed line, mobile and private networks. There are 4 product lines within the Eastern Research DNX product family: the Eastern Research DNX-4, the Eastern Research DNX-11, the Eastern Research DNX-88 and the Eastern Research PSX-5300. The Eastern Research DNX-4 is a 4 slot chassis. The Eastern Research DNX-11 is a 11 slot chassis. The Eastern Research DNX-88 is a 88 slot nest of DNX-11's. The Eastern Research PSX-5300 is the N+1 capability which can be added to the DNX-11 for full redundancy. Each Eastern Research DNX system can be populated with a variety of modules, providing capabilities for: T1, E1, T3, E3, STS1, OC3/STM1, Data and Voice.
