Description

Featuring a software-selectable DTE interface, the Prelude T1 DSU provides a V.35 or RS-449/EIA-530 electrical interface for applications such as Internet connectivity or point-to-point data communications. Bandwidth allocation allows you to configure the Prelude for data rates ranging from 56 kbps to 1.544 Mbps. The SNMP-manageable Prelude can be configured and maintained from a local VT-100-compatible terminal or a remote site using a serial link or Hayes-compatible modem. The Quick Eagle SNMP reports capability notifies network managers of alarm conditions provided by an embedded SNMP agent and trap mechanism. The Prelude offers straight forward installation and maintenance through local and remote loopbacks and a variety of fixed test patterns such as QRW, 3 in 24, 1 in 8, all 1s, all 0s. Online network test and performance measurements are provided by two user-programmable test patterns.
