The 6H262-18 is the latest high-performance addition to Enterasys award-winning SmartSwitch 6000 chassis. Providing a combination of 16 ports of switched 10/100Base-TX connectivity and dual Gigabit Ethernet uplinks, this flexible new module is ideal for use in high-capacity enterprise wiring closet environments. Optimized for use in switched Fast Ethernet-to-the-desktop deployments with a Gigabit Ethernet backbone, the 6H262-18 10/100/1000Mbps module provides a next-generation architecture capable of delivering in excess of 2,000,000 packets per second. A fully configured SmartSwitch 6000 chassis delivers in excess of 10,000,000 pps of distributed performance, while providing complete redundancy for switching and management. The flexible design of the 6H262-18 allows for the configuration of two "on-board" uplinks using Gigabit Ethernet Port Interface Modules (GPIMs) for physical connectivity, ensuring best-in-class performance and scalability.
