This external storage enclosure option provides the ability to expand the storage capacity of your system beyond the physical limitations of the server. A 14-bay enclosure, it can provide up to 2TB of externally attached storage based on installed hard disk drives. The available twin tailing/split bus feature allows two servers to access the data. This high-function, high-density storage expansion unit is intended to work in a rack or tower. It can support up to 14 Ultra320 SCSI drives on a single logical bus. It supports easy customer servicing. Most replaceable items and components are easily accessible for replacement from either the front or the back.
