Description

This Fibre Channel (FC) Expansion Card option for the IBM eServer BladeCenter JS20 interconnects JS20 blade servers with FC-attached storage to deliver a high-performance, highly manageable Storage Area Network (SAN). The dual-port (2Gb per port) card enables SAN booting, which can significantly reduce the risk of extended system outages that occur in direct-attached storage environments. Also, this FC card option provides support for AIX. It replaces the IBM eServer BladeCenter HS20 Fibre Channel Expansion Card for connecting JS20 blades to FC-attached storage.
