Description

The Juniper Networks optional single-port serial Mini-PIM for the SSG 20 platform complements the five on-board 10/100 Ethernet interfaces with expanded WAN connectivity. The single-port serial Mini-PIM is equipped with a dedicated network processor that forwards traffic to the SSG 20 CPU where traffic decisions are made based upon security policies. This allows the SSG 20 to be deployed as a security appliance or as a secure router where serial connectivity is required.
