The Passport 1624 is a fixed-port, hardware-based Layer 3 Routing Switch that provides resiliency, performance and security to both the wiring closet and network core in a 1U high design. Available in three models, the Passport 1624 provides connections for gigabit Ethernet aggregation as well as 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connectivity. The Passport 1624 Routing Switch provides increased reliability for the network core. Multi-layer support and redundant power supplies ensure maximum availability critical for bandwidth sensitive and revenue generating applications. Support for SMLT and MLT supplies redundant load sharing connections to one or more desktop switches. Resiliency is addressed at multiple layers across the entire network ensuring maximum availability of resources and the lowest downtime.
