Additionally, FastIron GS Series switches are field upgradeable to include a 2-port 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10-GbE) module with small form factor pluggable XFP transceivers. Supported transceivers include SR, LR, ER, ZR, and ZRD optics supporting fiber lengths to 80Km. Offering network managers the flexibility to upgrade to 10-GbE helps to future-proof the network provides added investment protection.
