The AdvanceStack 10Base-T Hub-16U is the largest model in the entry-level stackable hub line from Hewlett Packard. This hub contains 16 RJ-45 10Base-T ports for Ethernet connections, a modular transceiver slot for additional media connections, and an upgrade expansion bay. These port combinations provide a robust networking solution for a medium-sized workgroups with the flexibility to grow as your network requires, or this hub can be used to compliment and expand an existing network. The modular slide-in transceivers are purchased separately, and allow for connection to fiber-optic, coaxial (BNC), UTP, and AUI media types. The expansion bay can accommodate the optional SNMP management module that will provide a wide range of management functions that is also supported by Hewlett Packards OpenView and AdvanceStack Assistant software.
