A full range of functionality is available with the Annex family from basic terminal server capabilities to more complex communications server functionality.

The MicroAnnex XL terminal server offers an economical method of connecting up to 16 asynchronous terminals, printers, and modems to TCP/IP-based Ethernet LANs. Terminal users can access multiple UNIX host systems using Telnet or Rlogin from a single terminal. A UNIX-style interface ensures ease-of-use because Annex commands are identical to UNIX equivalents whenever possible.

In addition to terminal server capabilities, the MicroAnnex XL also offers advanced communication server functions such as connectivity to DEC VAX systems and IBM mainframes, advanced security features, comprehensive management and wide area networking support.
