Description

The FEIP provides up to two 100-Mbps, IEEE 802.3u 100BaseT ports. IEEE 802.3u specifies several different physical layers for 100BaseTX over Category 5, unshielded twisted-pair (UTP), EIA/TIA-568-compliant cable. The interfaces on an FEIP can each be configured for half duplex (HDX) or full duplex (FDX), for a maximum aggregate bandwidth of 200 Mbps. The FEIP microcode boot image resides in an EPROM in socket location U37.
