Software can be loaded from a host network or the unit can self-load using the flash memory card. All MAXservers can also act as a network load server for other NBase-Xyplex access servers on the network.

Extensive network security features including support for Kerberos, SecurID, RADIUS. Expandable memory via industry standard SIMM. SNMP MIB I, MIB II, Telnet, and CP; setup options include GUI (FocalPoint for Access Servers) and command line. Because of its high-performance processor, the MAXserver�s serial ports can reach a top speed of 115 2 kbps.
