The Transition Networks CFMFF1329-221 is a high-performance Gigabit fiber media converter designed to bridge the gap between short-reach multimode (MM) and long-reach single-mode (SM) Ethernet networks. It accepts 850nm MM signals over standard SC connectors up to 220 meters and converts them to 1550nm transmission and 1310nm reception over a single SM fiber for distances up to 20 kilometers. This solution enables seamless integration of campus or data-center segments with metropolitan or long-haul fiber infrastructures while maintaining Gigabit Ethernet speeds.
