OC-3/STM-1 Optical Interface Module supports 1+1 unidirectional or bidirectional protection switching. You can provision protection on a per port basis. It can detect LOS, LOF, Loss of Pointer (LOP), line Alarm Indication Signal (AIS-L), and line Remote Defect Indication (RDI-L) conditions. The card also counts section and line bit interleaved parity (BIP) errors.
